Vineyard Day (2021)
The grapes are ripening, the weather is finally relenting, and at last we have a date for our vendange and our lunch.........Spend the morning in the vineyard picking grapes. Return to the cellar for tastings. Finish with a long, leisurely lunch in the shade of the olive groves.
We continue our relationship with the Domaine de la Senche in La Livinière. An early morning start to begin the grape picking. Back to the cave for the whole process of destemming, pressing to get everything into the cuves to begin fermentation. A tasting of previous years wines then a leisurely lunch in the olive groves. Another hard day in the office!
VERY IMPORTANT NOTE - The actual date of this Vineyard Day is dependent on the weather and the ripening of the grapes. We now have a pretty good approximation of the date - Friday 24th September. Bear on mind this may be subject to last-minute changes due to weather.
