We continue the series of wine tastings featuring our near neighbours. Earlier this year we explored the wines of Spanish Catalunya, and next year we will turn to the Northern and Southern Rhône valleys.
After Rioja, Galicia is perhaps the best-known of Spain’s wine-growing regions. Bordered by the Atlantic Ocean and the Bay of Biscay, its cooler climate is perfectly suited to producing crisp, mineral-driven wines from the celebrated Albariño grape, as well as the lesser-known but equally intriguing Godello.
On this occasion, we will be tasting four white and four red wines, offering a true flavour—pun intended—of this far-western corner of Spain.
The tasting will take place in the Salle de Dégustation in Siran. All members, along with their guests, are warmly welcome.
And as you walk the pilgrim’s route to Santiago de Compostela, don’t forget to pause and savour a glass along the way!
Looking forward to seeing you then.
Best regards,
Jock
