We head up into the Pyrenees on the legendary Train Jaune. One day, one train, one medieval town, and lunch waiting at the other end. Seats are limited, so don't dawdle.
VEEM is joining Pepieux Loisirs for a day trip on the famous Train Jaune, the century-old railway that climbs into the Catalan Pyrenees.
Programme
- 08.00 AM - Pick-up in Olonzac (Cave Coopérative) heading towards Mont-Louis
- 11:35 AM – Board the Yellow Train, departing from Mont-Louis
- 12:51 PM – Arrival at Villefranche-de-Conflent station
- 1:00 PM – Lunch at a restaurant in Villefranche-de-Conflent:
- Catalan starter platter
- Chicken escalope with forest mushroom sauce
- Homemade Catalan cream dessert
- ¼ litre of wine and coffee included
- 3:00 PM – Guided tour of Villefranche-de-Conflent, a UNESCO World Heritage site and one of the "Most Beautiful Villages of France"
- 4:30 PM – Return journey to Pépieux and Olonzac

Price includes icoach travel, train tickets, lunch, and the guided tour.
Spaces are limited, as the train itself only holds 49 passengers across all groups. First come, first served.
