Qigong is a simple but deep practice that combines gentle flowing movements with posture, breath, relaxation and mindfulness. Returning home to the body brings us to the present moment, away from our busy minds, and helps to soothe our nervous system as we reconnect with our inner peace and stillness and with our naturual surroundings.
Kalba Meadows will lead us (in English) in some easy exercises and flows, followed by a few minutes of mindful walking. Suitable for anyone, whatever your health or mobility level, with no previous experience needed - just bring yourself and your curiosity. Qigong is easy to learn and is normally practised standing, but if that's difficult for you it can be done sitting (please bring your own chair along).
For this first session we'll be meeting in the park in Siran, just opposite the Chateau. Members, guests and friends are welcome - there is no charge for these sessions.
