Hidden in a small village in the Aude, Spiktri is one of those places you do not simply visit — you experience it. Installed in a former wine cooperative, this singular site plunges you into a raw, unsettling and deeply imaginative universe where recycled materials, street art, monumental sculptures and mythical creatures collide.
Nothing here is smooth or decorative. Spiktri questions our ideas of beauty, art and comfort. It can be disturbing, sometimes even uncomfortable — and that is precisely what makes it so powerful. This is art that provokes, that stays with you, that invites discussion long after the visit is over.
During this guided excursion, we will explore the world created by the artist and the Gangsea collective, hear the stories behind the works, and better understand the symbolism, the materials and the intentions that shape this extraordinary place. Expect strong visual impressions, surprising contrasts, and a visit that sparks reflection and conversation — very much in the VEEM spirit.
This outing is particularly suited to those who are curious, open-minded, and interested in contemporary, unconventional art — and in discovering something truly unexpected in rural Occitanie.
An unforgettable visit for anyone who enjoys being challenged rather than comforted.
