This is an opportunity to see a number of sights old, new and refurbished of which Beziers can be proud. The route will follow the canal up to the aqueduct, crossing the River Orb and on to the Fonserenne lock flight. It then heads down to the banks of the Orb then crosses the refurbished medieval pedestrian bridge which provides great views up to the cathedral St Nazareth and the old city. A newly opened series of staircases and walkways allows us to access the cathedral which provides great views. We then walk through the alleys of old Beziers and onto the main Allees Paul Riquet which is also newly refurbished. Then downhill through the elegant Parc des Poètes and back to the car park. The walk is easy with 70m of ascent (lifts available for cathedral ascent). Refreshments may be available in the port at the end.

Car share from Olonzac at 9.00. Meet in the car park next to large roundabout near Casino
